We only have regular milk in the office. Should I ask the boss to have of non-dairy milk option as well? or should I take care of it myself?
You're in a job, the one on your side drinks his fourth cup of coffee and you're stuck with a coffee without milk.
Not only does it suck, it feels unequal and makes you squint at the hot drinks of other people in the office. So what are we going to do?
First, I'd like to point out that there are countries where there is an obligation in the law to keep plant-based milk substitutes (soy, almond, rice, oatmeal, etc.) in addition to cow's milk in the office's refrigerator. If you don't live in one of those countries, there are always more elegant ways to get what we want ;)
If it's a big office it's more simple, you need to locate the lactose intolerant (almost every office has at least one!) and then bring it up to the manager and say that you need plant-based milk.
If you're in a workplace where there are not many employees, usually these places should feel more like home, a close family, and with open communication, it should work. In any case, in my opinion, making sure there's a plant-based alternative ourselves is so 2010. Today veganism is becoming mainstream and therefore it should be recognized in our workplace.
